Throop, PA – November 5, 2015– New Story Throop is proud to announce that they will be participants in this year’s Toys for Tots campaign. The students and staff of New Story Throop have been part of the campaign for multiple years in the past, and the greatness of the charity keeps them coming back. During the months of November and December, students, their families, and staff will have the opportunity to bring in unwrapped toys to be donated to local families in the area that are in need this holiday season.
It is the mission of the program “to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.” Toys for Tots has the goal to “deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.”
New Story Throop will kick off their individual fundraiser mid-November, and continue through the duration of December. The teachers and staff are looking forward to watching their students grow and develop while giving back to their community.
